33882-71 On 12/23/1971, at 9:24 p.m., Flint Police were dispatched to the 7-11 at Western and Layton for a robbery and shooting. Upon arrival they found the night manager, Patrick West, behind the counter with a shotgun wound to the abdomen. Witnesses described two male black subjects who fled in a dark blue fast back style vehicle parked east of the store. West died three months later of complications from his injuries.
